Having hip op on Dec 4

hi - first time here!  Due to have hip real cement on Dec 4. Found some useful hints in this forum!  I guess it's different for everyone, but do you think, all bent well, I would be able to "work" in a shop 1 day a week after 5 weeks?  I put "work" because it's an antique shop and it's mostly just sitting by the counter. Thanks

I am hoping to go back part time after 3 weeks. But I had a lateral procedure. With no restrictions. My problem seems to be stamina after 2 and 1/2 weeks. I seem to do really well one day and can't do a thing the next. So we are all different. Hopefully you have a job who works with you.

Personally. ....and i say personally. ....you need time to actually heal... not just move. ..the muscles...tendons etc need to heal. Rushing will only cause damage you can't see. As i said im in retail....yea a busy shop...with staff.......my surgeon aaid...how much of the wirk is picking something up like floor level... how heavy. ....how much sitting and standing. The last thing i want is to stop everyone else working because they have to do something for me so i dont break the 90 degree rule. Think of others too....hugs

Thanks, sassybees - I think what you say is very valid - I'll see how I am at the time. Generally speaking our shop isn't very busy at all on Mondays, so it wouldn't be too much different from sitting around at home
