    Hi,

    I am going on my 4th week from a total hip replacement posterior approach and was not sleeping well until recently. I was miserable and researched sleep hacks...

    Here's what I did:

    1. Zero technology for the whole day... (well, minimum - just to reply text to people asking how I was doing) No television, no computer, no phone, etc.;
    2. Made the house 65-degrees;
    3. Got a weighted blanket;
    4. Spayed some lavender bedtime spray around my room;
    5. Took two Advil PM and did not take any other medications as per what my doctor told me. He said I could take the Advil at night, but then I did not need to take the anti-inflammatory.

    I slept 10.5 hours uninterrupted. It was amazing.

    Insomnia is horrible. Keep trying, you will find something that will work for you.

    Sweet dreams.
