having problems with cough and back pain plus weight loss since i started taking tamoxifen Posted 30

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had lumpectomy in August.  Results showed no spread to lymph nodes.  I have just finished five weeks of radiotherapy and have been taking tamoxifen for the last ten weeks.

    Very pleased that no spread shown. Can't help regards the meds. Just want to give support. You should have a support nurse who you can contact to get the advice you need. I have been ok with my meds which is letrozole, few hot flushes but that's it.

      Hi Janet.  Thanks for your reply and support.  I have a breastcare nurse so i will give her a call. May suggest i  change to letrozole as this definately isnt suiting me.

    There are several drugs, and depending on what type of cancer you had then they will prescribe accordingly. I am now 5 years from having had cancer and all's good. Hope they get it sorted soon.
