Having problems with evorel 25 patches

I've been on evorel patches for nearly 6mths. I'm only 44. I had hysterectomy 29 but was left with one ovary. The last 2mths I'm irritable. My nipples are so itchy and tender. I'm on citalipram clinical depression for 20 yes. I'm struggling wondering if I should be on these patches .any body else have similar issues 😓

Thank you Karen. I'm worried that either it's not agreeing with me or maybe the dose is too low. My breasts are quite tender. I think I need to see my GP . Thanks for replying 😐

Hi Jennifer, it sounds just like the level of hrt you are on is not enough. You may need to boost it by taking a strong menpausal vitamin supplement. Also you have been on those antidepressants for a very long time. I took seroxat (paroxitine) for 10 years until I started to get side effects and it took me 2 years to wean off them. I still suffer side effects from the long term use and am now hypersensitive to ssri's so it could be a reaction to them. Next time you get a script look carefully at the manufacturers leaflet at possible side effects and see if you can identify any that are bothering you. Maybe youve been on them too long and need to be changed to something else. It will be very hard on you due to the amount of time youve taken them but could really benefit you in the long term. I hope this helps hun XXX

I am in peri, when I tried to take plant estrogens my breasts became very sore, and my legs felt like stone. Irritability is there since the start of peri. I my case the estrogens, even plant ones gave me side effects in breasts etc. I cut the dose. You may have accumulated too much estrogen, or got imbalanced estro/prog in some other way-into estrogen dominance or sth. Ask your doc to perhaps run hormone panels to see the levels, and perhaps adjust the dose.

I've been thinking the same. Before I started hurting was getting pre menstral symptoms at the end of the mth even though I had no womb I still have one ovary. So I didn't think I needed hrt. They didn't even do a blood test. I was feeling really low so she suggested that it was menopause. I am going to ask for 2nd opinion. Thank you really helpful x
