Having problems with my hands

I had a fall in November and I had cuts on both palms of my hand - I thought nothing of it until i started getting tingling and burning pains in my right hand it almost felt as if i had burnt my fingers- i went to my doctor because i could not work as i had also injured my arm in the fall and as i do cleaning there was no way that i was able to work - The first time i went to the doctor they told me to go to the hospital to get checked out they just diagnosed soft tissue damage to my arm and i was given a sling to wear i was only just starting to get tingling in my fingers but after a few days it just got worse so i phoned the doctor and he told me to come in and see him - he said it sounded like carpol tunnel syntome and he gave me water pills for a week to see if that would help as my fingers and hand was swollen and said if it didnt help then i might need to see a surgeon about it - After a week it still wasnt helping so i went back and he has written to a hand surgeon and now i am on a waiting list.
i am still having numbness and tingling and stiffness and its difficult to work with my hands - I am left handed but i do a lot with my right and its my right hand that is causing the most problems.i was having some numbeness in my left hand before the fall but nothing that would make me think that there was a problem.
I dont know if its because i use a buffing machine that has caused my problems i did read that vibrating machines can cause those problems
Any help would be great?

From my experience of carpal tunnel syndrome, it seems that the whole area of arms and hands are very sensitive. prior to my op, I had three injections in my wrist over a period of 2 years. The last one affectedsome of my fingers and produced tingling which I still had after my op and lasted for about 9 months. However, this has all but gone and my had is almost back to normal. They say that carpal tunnel starts in the neck/shoulders area, which sounds about right if you constantly use a buffing machine. It sounds as though your experience if different from mine, but the reason I mention it is because: don't give up on yourself, nerve endings take a long time to heal, but it seems that they do in the end. p.s. some of the YouTube clips on carpal tunnel are quite interesting!

Re vibrating machines, if it helps or is relevant there is a leaflet here https://patient.info/health/hand-arm-vibration-syndrome-leaflet that may be of interest.

I have not been using that machine for that long maybe a couple of years at the most. I would love not to have to use this machine but try telling a manager that lol - I will just have to see what a hand surgeon says when i get an appointment about what is exactly wrong.

I have splints for my hands I do not find them helpful - I dont have problems with my hands at night its during the day they cause me problems at the moment.
I am due to see an orthopedic physio on the 10th march to find out exactly what is happening and what can be done.
