Hello,

Before 6 months i have done my blood test and got result with iron deficiency anemia. Then my gp suggested me to have ferricure 150mg for 6 months. During these months, due to some problems, i was littlebit careless with my diet and also got fast bowl movement problem. After 6 months, i have gone through my blood test again. But i didn't get any good result. The level of iron and ferritin are same as before. Now he is suggesting me to have iron infection. Should i go with injections or i should try supplements once again with iron riched diet? I really need your suggest. Please help me.

How do you feel? Do you have symptoms? I would go with the infusions unless cost is an issue. IDA is usually resolved quickly without any of the horrible symptoms that iron can cause.

Yes.. i feel tired quickly, sleep 10 hrs but still feeling not getting enough sleep, hair fall and pale skin. My GP is planning for fercayl 100mg 2ml in the buttock. Are you talking about the horrible symtoms that may cause by this kind of injection? I don't have any idea about these things.

No I was referring to the horrible symptoms like constipation from oral forms of iron. I had ferrinject. It was with a drip for around an hour. I would not hesitate to get it again.

There are different views on this website. I have iron infusions of a form called ‘ferinject’ and it works well with no side effects (so far).
