Having your hip replacement abroad

Hi everyone, just wanted to give you some information as my husband travelled abroad for his hip replacement.

We went to a place in the Czech Republic.

The service we received was amazing. We were met at the airport and taken by Range Rover to the hospital which was a private hospital. It was the nicest hospital i have ever seen. The rooms were so luxurious and it was so clean. The doctors and nurses all spoke perfect English.

He had his hip done and had intensive physiotherapy whilst he was in the hospital and then afterwards at the hotel and we were away for just over 2 weeks. We paid £6300 for the full package including flights, hospital, hotel etc.

He felt so much better and healthier than he has done for years. He now has no pain at all and is back to all his normal activities and is back in the garden and playing golf.

Elizabeth has mentioned below about a company she is thinking of travelling with.

i think it is the same company we used called Operations Abroad Worldwide.

If anyone is on a waiting list or wants to save money compared to paying privately in the UK, I would really recommend it.

    Please can you remember the clinic name?

    It would be so great. My mum needd operation asap, but we ate not in Uk so will have to contact clinc directly.
