Head aches

Just wondering if anyone else has suffered from headaches, I am 1 week post op and out of the 7 days probably had a bad head for 5 of them. Obviously this is not a major problem compared with what I've just been through but to be honest the last thing I need is more pain.

    They are usually caused either by the way you're sleeping. It could also be dehydration or if you are on meds some of them can cause you headaches.

    I used to get them too and found my problem was dehydration. So I made sure I had a drink bottle like the athletes use by my bed so I could have a drink during the night and when I woke up. The big straw meant no spills too.

    Tramadol can cause headaches, otherwise, check your metals allergy.  Unless you were tested prior to surgery?  That's how my saga started exactly around surgery time.  2 years on I never associated my symptoms with the hip!  How daft was that.  AND you can still get a reaction even if head and socket were PE and/or ceramic.  This lucky enough to be tested before op usually receive titanium stem. But even that can cause rejection (viz, titanium failed tooth implantation)

    Sorry, you are so soon after surgery it's probably just a reaction to anaesthetic.  Very early days.  You will notice improvements daily, once your sutures are out.  V rapid recovery around these first weeks with daily changes. Be patient (haha pun intended)

    I had one slight headache on day 2.. but not for long. I hope ypu get to the bottom of it. I feel for you. I hate headaches

    It might be your pain medicine, Percocet and Vicodin gave me headaches, I take Motrin and Tramadol now.

    There could be many contributing factors to your headaches.  Drinking lot of water (or fluids) is important.  I find that magensium supplements can help a great deal with headaches.
