head pain after awakening and bad stomach?

I just wondered whether anyone with fibro suffered with head pain in the mornings?

I am always tired,  so every morning I wake up wanting to sleep longer but my body wont let me and most mornings I wake up not with a headache but a slight head pain...  I dont know whether its just me , or there are others that have it too.. and also i have not been diagnosed with ibs...but I find that my stomach is always very bad in the mornings and there is nothing to help, only in the mornings, could this be a symptom of ibs? As I suffer with bloating too, thanks for your help smile

    Hello Isobelle,

My experience is, I don't wake up with head pain, in fact my head is usually remarkably clear. It is usually my body that is so relaxed that I am reluctant to get up! This is probably due to the Amitritylene I take. I do suffer with bloating, tho, and would be grateful for any advice on this.

    Take care, Anne

I had head pain over the top of my head to my eye brows and had nerve blocks to the back of my scalp which took away the pain but has left my scalp feeling like it is being gripped and pulled back.

The down side is that the pain has moved down to my eye level all of the way around.

I don't really have any stomach troubles though.

head pain can be caused by teeth clenching i wake up a lot of mornings with jaw and temple pain. i have i b s but normally due to something iv eaten ,

take anything that could be irating you out of your diet one item at a time see if that makes adifferance ,ie diary, gluten. sugar. hope

Fibro is widespread pain so it happens everywhere. If it's not affecting your day then it's just part of life. But if it gets worse, then I'd see a doctor about it.

Stomach issues are probably IBS/IBD. Chronic inflammation in the stomach. I agree with the other post about figuring out what in your diet is aggravating it. Sugar is inflammation's best friend. But even a sensitivity to dairy or lactose, gluten or yeast can make it all so much worse.

Oh blimey! I know you shouldn't but I have also taken meds off other people ie laxido and painkillers when I've just been so desperate to be comfortable.

I used to get this on a really big scale sometimes I couldn't move my head at all. I found eating the right foods a blessing I'm telling everyone about the fodmap diet, Google it and look into it. I stick to it and eat live food with immune boosting qualities it's changed my life ,

Hia isibelle3, I also wake feeling more tired than I went to sleep and i don't remember the last time I woke by myself without an alarm or my husband or daughter waking me-I think I would just sleep the clock round given the chance! I also wake with a thick head every day-possibly due to medication?

I have always had bowl problems which I've just lived with but following 10 days of no bowel movement recently I had 2 days of  suppisitries followed by an enema, 2 days of dioreah and now 3 days of constipation again :-( my stomach is so bloated I look 6 months pregnant and have terrible wind.

I don't know if this is ibs and just part and parcel of fibromyalgia but I feel for you as it is extremely uncomfortable.

Peppermint tea helps with the bloating and avoiding carbs also helps. Good luck

I've had a headache on waking for the past couple of days and really tired. Thinks it's cos I'm off work for a week and I've slowed down. I haven't been eating as well the past few days so that's prob got something to do with it.

The only advice is say is keep an eye out for food triggers, rest when u can and drink plenty of water

    Hi,

None of what you mentioned is in your head-you have been dianosed I take it with Fibro?

I wake up so sore I can hardly turn over and just to reach for a pillow is painful.

The average person may wonder where is my mind-but a person with fibro will

not question my discomfort.I think sometimes laying there will make it better but NO;getting up and moving around makes me soon forget abt the pain. However,if

a particular part of my body is being hit (that) day.I treat that with epson salt bath.

topical pain creams and acceptance that its (got me today).

So,treat what you feel when you can and sometimes just let it be--thats called acceptance.
