Head Pressure Anyone?

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has experienced a weird pressure feeling in their head? I have had this on and off since I got mono and it always spooks me when it happens.

What weird symptoms have you had? A lot of mine are neurological 😔I am 11 months in.

Sounds like we're going through the exact same thing! I've had all those symptoms too. It honestly does feel like a nightmare at times. Honestly the worst thing for me has been the random new symptoms and the anxiety I get each time. I have the off balance feeling still too. It's terrifying 😦 Hope you're hanging in there. I never thought at 26 I'd be dealing with this!

    Hi Brittney,

Sorry to hear 11 months in and you are still having symptoms like this.

I do as well. I am almost 3 months in post first symptoms of mono appearing. I seem to feel it on the right side of my head behind my ear. It seems to happen when I am stressed which is also tied to my elevated heart rate and blood pressure. Do you happen to have a way to check if your blood pressure? My blood pressure has always been fine outside of mono.

I had a CT of my head just to make sure nothing was going on and it came back fine. I am sure you are fine too! If it was something, you would have other symptoms I feel.

Hoping you are able to get through this!

Thanks Terry 😃 I haven't find mine to be related to my blood pressure. I do get a tight feeling in my chest but I honestly believe its a physical manifestation stemming from my health anxiety (which mono has kindly triggered). Though I did cut out sugar and eat healthily overall. When I did have sugar I found I noticed my heart beating more. So weird!

    Goodness Brittney,

You've had such a tough time with this virus by the sounds of it. I remember feeling kind of 'stunted' in my head during the virus, like I knew something wasn't right but I couldn't really explain it or put my finger on it, it was very strange and frightening.

Just hoping and praying for better times ahead for you Brittney - just a word of encouragement that for many many people, including myself, who struggled badly during that first year, Year 2 was one of hope, recovery and healing - so hang in there and I'm hoping, praying and believing this will be the case for you.

For neurological symptoms, taking B complex vitamin can be very helpful indeed I've found, as can taking soothing herbs such as chamomile and cayenne pepper - but sometimes these can make you a bit more tired too as they relax you and I know sometimes maybe that is the opposite effect because the virus itself makes you so exhausted. But B complex and Co enzyme Q10 definitely really good for energy levels, and also taking higher doses of Vitamin C. Recently I've started looking into some of the vitamin advice and info of a British man named Phillip Day, I like his style and a lot of what he says - his website for his products is www.credence.org, there's videos of him on YouTube also.

Hang in there Brittney, hoping and praying for your recovery. God is a merciful God, I'm only so grateful for that having made so many mistakes myself.

Will do Craig. So far the two supplements that have helped me the most are omega 3s (high dose) and B12. I will keep you in my thoughts. Here's hoping we both feel better soon.

Thanks Brittney, really appreciate your thoughts for me too as being finding things hard also. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping very much the supplements can help your body fight this thing off once and for you - I truly believe you are going to be fully better with a little bit more time.

Yes! It has affected my eyes as well. Direct sunlight is so painful now. I feel like I have cotton balls stuffed into my head!
