Head pressure? Health anxiety

So my “newest” anxiety symptom has been head pressure. Mind you, ive had this sensation before and thought nothing of it, but of course in my stressed out, hyper sensitive state...I noticed it.

Basically the other morning I was sitting with my mom and I was laughing pretty hard and this head pressure happened, that came from what seemed like the back of my neck around my head and into my eyes and it felt like my whole head was going to explode. BUT I didn’t even freak out at that point. I only freaked out later in the day when I was having a panic attack.

This morning, same thing! I was sitting with my mom! Something really funny happens and I start laughing real hard and BAM same pressure. I freaked the hell out and every little thing I do now I feel like there’s pressure in my sinuses and ears (mind you i have been having ear problems as of late and am going to an audiologist next week to figure out what’s up)

I’m pretty lost at this point. When I google this symptom it says “brain tumor” or “hypertension” which is making it worse.

I don’t know exactly what’s up. I thought maybe it might be due to my ear problems since I believe I have ETD. Then I thought maybe it might be my neck since I do suffer with neck forward posture and maybe it’s putting tension on my neck because when you laugh you tend to tense up your neck muscles? Along with that, because I have been so stressed out recently I thought maybe my muscle have just been extra tense and that is why!

I really don’t know. If anyone has experienced this, let me know! Its pretty scary and my healthy anxiety is eating me alive

    Stop Googling Sydney !!!!!!

You will just make matters worse, you will start making matters problematic as you will believe some very bad things are causing your Headaches and neck pain This  sounds like Stress or Anxiety, not a brain tumor. Generally the neck muscles will tighten and you may have a headache transmitted from the neck

If your posture is bad and your Head is forward of your neck that may cause problems. If you are sitting crumpled up your spine and neck will be stressed. The neck and head can be the weakest part of the spine and that will also cause pain.

People are also supposed to have their eyes checked every two years if you need to get them checked make an appointment with your Opticion.

There are books on posture, I have a chronic pain condition and I was taught how to hold myself to reduce the pain. and stress on neck and head

Thank you for your response! I think I’m gonna go back to a chiropractor for my back and neck and finally get everything sorted out! And I will definitely try to relax on googling symptoms!

Health anxiety is an absolute b***h isnt it? Ive suffered for 14 years. Ive convinced myself on many a day that Im dying. I get head pressure too. I also have bad posture and due to being anxious most of the time my neck and back muscles are constantly tense and sore. Anxiety sufferes tend to catastrophise everything. I constantly think 'what if'. What if my cold turns onto pneumonia. What if my palpitations are really due to a heart defect. What if I have cancer and dont know about it yet. What if this dizziness is something serious like a brain tumor. Anxiety constantly catastrophises every little thing, every ache or pain. The other thing anxiety does, which doesnt help, is it makes us more aware of our senses. It hightens smell, taste, feelings etc etc. Everything is hightened or more noticeable. Counselling helps me to rationalise my thoughts and feelings and also my counsellor is very good at explaining how the brain works which actually helps me understand my anxiety. I hope you get some help and have a nice Christmas x
