Head tingling..

Hello everyone. I woke up this morning with a tingling feeling at the upper left back of my head, and it's been on and off. Same spot. I'm becoming anxious about it now rolleyes not sure if that is making it come back.

it's not accompanied by a headache or anything. I'm deathly scared of a brain tumor.

Other additional health info about me, 24 and female. I have inappropriate sinus tachycardia (naturally fast heart rate), and nasal allergies/sinusitis. I am close to my menses but I don't know if that could affect anything. -- I don't know if anyone could come up with some ideas as to why this is, but any input would help. Thank you all

I always hate thinking the worst sad I've used my monthly doctor's visit already and can't go for another three weeks.

I have that same symptom sometimes with headaches, and stabbing pains all over my head, for a few months now, I used to get numb on my head but that went away a few months ago, I also get this electric shock sensations on my head, and all over my body.

It freaks me out each time I get a new symptom.

Did you ever go to the doctor for this?

I have issues with headaches too. So annoying!  I have tmj so its hard to know if thats the cause. Tmd, digestive issues, eyes, sinus/allergies, neck can all cause headaches. Supposedly the brain does not  even have "pain" sensors. So many things cause headaches. Lastly is sleep apnea can do this. Very hard for a doctor to pinpoint the cause. Brain tumor is not the likely cause. There are other signs for that one, look simpler. Go to the dentist first and ask about tmd. THats so common. Migraines are also common and until you rid the allergen triggering the, they keeo going. Dehydration is very big cause. And its hard to drink the 60 ounces of water recommended. So you can go down the list and see what pertains to you.

The trend is gluten right now. The new fad allergy. But who knows. Its always recommended to go on a "clean" diet and drink lots of water and walk a lot. Th clean diet takes a lot of discipline. You can test that theory in three weeks. Go and get the clean diet in the web and stick to it three weeks. See if you feel better. I did it for one summer and i did feel better. Why is stopped it ill never know. Lazy and missed the tasty foods I dont  even know,  probably lazy it takes a lot of effort and its in the costly end. All fresh wholesome foods with no additives, preservatives or anything.

I'm not dealing with headaches though! Just weird tingling haha sad

Thanks for the info though, I actually did have headaches around a month ago which wouldn't go away - found out it was because of the nasal allergies.

I had weird sensations in the back of my head sometimes accompanied by dizziness and issues with hard heart beat and increased heart rate. I went on to develop terrible brain fog, anxiety, and fatigue. Also had frequent yawning. Went to over a dozen doctors and all tests were normal including a Head CT. Finally went to a sleep neurologist who did a sleep study and was diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea. My oxygen levels were dropping to mid 70's at night. If you snore or gasp for air see a sleep doctor. Once I was put on a C pap machine my symptoms have left. Took me about a year since I went undiagnosed for so long.

    Good luck.

I also had severe tachycardia, extremely low blood pressure and it got to the point where I could barely walk. It was all brought on by stress and it spiraled out of control where my body was depleted...Stress can kill you, and it can make you feel all sorts of crazy things, things that become real!! My story is very intense and much more intense then any story I've read, but if I can give you some advice::::First off, diet and sleep habbits can play a major role in improving your mental health..

Supplements like B complex,( food based) omega 3, viatamind D 3 ( again food based), inositol with choline... Second I only eat organic food now toxic pesticides are a big no no..... third at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep 95% of the year, a must...

Last but not least community and exercise. It is very important to be connected to friends ,family, community.. vital!!! Also exercise; it releases those good hormones that flood your body with positive energy.. This won't cure you 100% but you will feel so much better... positive thoughts and know your not alone!

What about making  a chart for this. A poster board and just jotting down the time and date and when this happens. You can track it. After a solid month look at it and see if you see a pattern. Can be weather related as well as food related. Might help you figure this out better. The tingling can be from allergies. Geez such odd things can happen with anxiety sometimes it hard to know whats what. Its not a brain tumor. By now that would have progressed terribly. Nor would a symptom be on and off. It is or isnt. So forget about the whole brain tumor thing. The sinus and allergy thing is probably more a part of it. Anxiety just spikes every symptom and everything so it adds fuel to the fire.
