Headache

I am experiencing headache on my left side of my head. Feel as if it's tingly and cold. Today I had anxiety attack at work, so I am sure that is what caused this headache. I have been having these headaches for 3 months now. I haven't seen a doctor for it although I should. I have health anxiety. My father passed away 3 years ago and ever since then I started to have anxiety attacks.

I haven't taken any meds because I am scared to get addicted but at this point which I had some.

Has anyone else experienced headaches along with anxiety?

Hi, yes I get headaches mines feels like there's pressure, and stabbing pains, like you I'm also scared of taking medication, but I did once back in October 2016, I just started having Anxiety, panic attacks in May 2016, out of no where at the mall, anyways the Med I took at the hospital was Valium it was 5mg, I was scared to take it to be honest, I kept asking questions.

I finally took it, and within 5 or 10 minutes the med kicked in, and took all my symptoms away, dizzness, lightheaded, heart racing, headaches, anxious, negative thoughts, derealization, etc I was able to sleep I only woke up maybe once or twice, and I went back to sleep, before I was waking up 4 plus time per night or I would only sleep 2 hours. The med lasted for 11 hours then once it wore off I was back to my anxious self, while the med help, it made me feel like a zombie, that was the only tine I ever took any med for my anxiety I still have anxiety, but I'm also a agoraphobia

    Hi diana,

I had the exact same... which i hasten to add was very scary.

Left head pain. weird sensations like a crawly feeling, tingly. and funny vision.

I went to GP as i feared the worse.

After all the tests etc that came back normal.... I was told it was anxiety.

I have upped meditation, relaxation, positive affirmations, keeping active and hydrated.. and things have improved.

Still a few dizzy times and vision but 95% better.

I did lots of research and put into action everything that was suggested.

Now i am a warrior not a worrier xxx lol xx

Keep your chin up and hang in there and research how you can self help x

Thank you for responding. Gad I am not the only one with this scary symptom.

I need to visit a gp to make me feel better. I am sure it is just anxiety.

Yes do , Thats what i did , i must say i didnt expect them to send me immedialty for a CT scan and do all the blood tests .. A bit worrying at the time but reassuring after the results all came back good. And a follow up visit with a consultant that told me i worked too hard so take A week of work and destress 🤓

I think you should see the gp about the headaches as they are new. Let the them examine you and tell you its anxiety. Yes headaches are an issue with anxiety but you need an exam first. Dont self diagnose.one sided headaches tend to be migraines.  Im not diagnosing you in anyway id say get an exam then youll know.

Thank you Lisa. So I am now freaking out and I am wanting an MRI for my own sanity. Last night I went to a urgent care, the doctor told me to go visit a neurologist and that I most likely had Trigemenial Neuralgia. Like I have none of those symptoms whatsoever.

I was so upset that he just threw some random diagnosis on me and send me on my merry way. Ugh this sucks. Here I am at home still in pain considering going to the ER
