Headache for more then 2 months

I immediately apologize for my English because it's not my first language. I'm about 18 years old. I have more than 2 months of headache that does not stop. It started from nowhere. In the first weeks it seemed that it hurt my whole head, but now, most of the pain is in the back, maybe even in the upper head side, and now this pain is accompanied by short but very sharp pains. The headache starts as soon as I get up, it passes through the day, but returns. There were weeks when I did not feel anything at all, but the pain always came back. Very often headache is accompanied by nausea, there is some kind of strange sight, but rarely, I feel some strange feeling behind nose, it's hard to explain it. I went to the neurologist, he diagnosed tension headaches, but I don't feel that is a tension headache, is probably something worsen. I also went to the eye doctor, and they are also healthy. I'm very afraid that there may be brain cancer or a tumor, because such a pain that does not go away is very worrying. Please share your experience who has experienced or advised what to do because I'm out of my mind 😦

Hello Daiva, I can only talk from my experience of this. I have had head pain and head pressure for nearly 4 years, and have been tested for all the scary stuff and seen various specialists, and been on lots of medication.

I have been diagnosed with thunderclap, cluster, hemiglegic migraines, migraines and cervogenic headaches.

If one more doctor, neurologist specialist or anyone mentions anxiety to me with regards to these I will scream. Some of the symptoms cause anxiety in me not the other way round.

Its been difficult for my doctors to diagnose and at worst I was off work with a migraine for nearly 3 months.

my story is long and its been hell at times.

That shooting pain you mentioned I get that from tension in my neck, I have a worn disc in my neck, and have this under control now with a neck pillow in bed, and laptop raiser, plus have regular massages and learnt stretches through a chiropractor. My neck headaches at worse give me pain at the bridge of my nose, photophobia, unsteadiness, and bring on migraines.

I do not have a brain tumour, my most recent scan was a ct in hospital last week and it was clear.

headaches can be complex and debilitating, but not serious. you will drive yourself crazy with worry if you think you have a tumour. Keep a headache diary, and see a chiropractor, who can assist, my chiropracter wrote a letter to my doctor and that resulted in a hemiplegic migraine diagnosive.
