Headache in the same spot for 6 months! What can this be?

So I've been suffering from migraines for years but it seems as I've been having headache every single day for the last 6 months. It's usually triggered when focusing while driving, bearing down when having a bowel movement, bending over, and turning my head suddenly or too quickly. The pain is always on the left side of my forehead, right above my brow, and often feels numb and tingling and the pain extends behind my left eye. My headaches do let up when taking excedrine migraine and sumatriptan. However I feel like I am becoming reliant on meds to be able to function. I have a mri scheduled for tomorrow and I am beyond nervous because I am worried it will be a tumor or something that can change my life forever.

Any ideas what this might be? Thanks in advance!

have you had your eyes looked at? A full check by an opthamologist I mean? It could be a problem with your eyes maybe. Or maybe an issue with your sinuses. Try getting a head and face massage, see if it helps. It could also be down to an allergy.

Hello, thank you for replying! The last I've had my eyes checked was about 2 years ago when I updated my prescription lens. It's funny you mention that because as soon as I got my new glasses at that time, I noticed a floater suddenly appear in my left eye only. That is the side I experience pain during a headache. I will see a eye doctor soon though. It's definitely worth a shot! Thanks again!

thank thank God you have an MRI scheduled for tomorrow. I can tell you that I've had a headache for the last seven months now and my neurologist told me it was just a migraine and she kept telling me that even though the CT scan. I just couldn't except for the fact that I had migraines even though I'm 34 years old and have never really had headaches to spend before and she finally I just couldn't except for the fact that I had migraines even though I'm 34 years old and have never really had headaches to spend before and she finally did amri and I got the results today. I have a brain tumor, it brought me to my knees hearing the results because everybody thought I was crazy. please don't just take one doctor's advice, this is your life and you know how your body feels so I would truly listen to it.

Hi Christina! Thank you for your reply! I am so sorry about your diagnosis. That is what I am fearing the most at the moment! I've had a CT scan done years ago when I ended up in the emergency room after having severe vertego for 10 days straight however my scan came back normal and I moved on with my life. I am too 34 years old and have a family and a son that I need to be here for, so the thought of me having a serious issue scares the heck out of me. I'll be sure to update on my results when I get them. Once again I am so sorry! God bless you!

Hello again, do you mind telling me your symptoms you had upon getting your mri? Was it just new daily headaches? Anything else with it? Also what caused your headaches? Or was it just a constant headache that never went away? Did you received treatment/meds after your CT scan was cleared? Thanks a lot!

hi hi there thanks for your message, so they aren't daily headaches but I guess I do get them very often probably oh 10 times a month. they change also like one day it'll be a one-sided pain by my left temple like a throbbing pain and another day it could be an ice pick headache and another day it could be what feels like a rubber band is around my forehead. which made the doctor assume that I was struggling with migraines. I have never really had bad headaches like this before and I do also suffer for help from health anxiety. but even though my two CT scans were clear I demanded a MRI. which I came back with what's called a incidental lipoma in the brain. what is frustrating to me is that my doctor told me that it is in asymptomatic but can cause headaches. does that make sense to anybody? LOL asymptomatic means supposed to mean that it doesn't cause any symptoms and I'm sorry my friend but a headache as a symptom LOL. I also get really bad vertigo and dizziness and an off-balance feeling. right now I'm working on a referral to a neurosurgeon to evaluate me and to come up with the best plan of action. but just knowing that there is something foreign inside my brain is just what scares me the most. good luck with your MRI, yes please keep us updated I will keep you in my prayers.
