Headaches

Can Peri cause awful constant headaches and migraines.  ? Mine have got so much worse and literally this month I’ve missed a period. (Missed one also in may).   I’m also experiencing anxiety which I’ve never had before and I get SO angry at the least thing.  Again not like me.  And also weirdly I keep getting a tingly feeling in one side of my face.  Could this all be down to hormones.  It’s drivng me mad 😔

I started suffering from migraines again after getting them under control for few years, its caused by hormone fluctuations. I didn't want to start taking persciption drugs again so I had a Daith Piercing done, 6 months on i have had one mild migraine but nothing too bad. Daith piercings do hurt to get done and takes ages to heal but so far its helped

Google it to see how it works.

Literally had a daith about 10 days ago.  I’ve had such chronic daily headaches for so long that I think they just need to settle. But I’ve not had a migraine.  Just cannot believe how much headaches have manifested and this horrible facial tingling.   But I think everything is very tight with anxiety in my neck and back.  So all connected I guess x

ANXIETY is definitely from the peri/meno and the tingling face comes from the ANXIETY...

I ve been suspecting the tingling comes from anxiety. It just becomes a vicious cycle. Bad head , then I worry it ll get worse , then blood pressure rises, then tingling starts  etc etc ........,,,😔😭

Yes Fiona it's a vicious cycle for sure !!! Just when you think the symptoms can't get any worse, then here comes another one worse than the other (vicious cycle) brace yourself for it , it's a nasty pathetic ride, physically and mentally/emotionally...

It's the hormones. I get bad headache and migraine too, never use to have it before I started the perimenopause. My face also twitches occasionally.

Yes it absolutely can all be hormones. I suffered migraines for up to 5 days in a row. Have had terrible depression, anxiety and a lot of uncontrollable anger and all due to an imbalance in my hormones through peri menopause.

I take maxalt wafers for the migraines. For my depression, anger etc the only thing that has helped me is to get my hormones balanced with bio identical hormones. Its taken a few months and some adjustment but its absolutely saved me. I'm pretty much back to normal with the occasional off day or two.

It has given me my life back.
