Hi ladies. I've recently started having headaches after an orgasm. Has anyone else experienced this during perimenopause?

Hi Simone, I wouldn't get the headache after, but I would get the anxiety really bad.. It got to the point I would refuse to have one for fear of the anxiety attack which would calm down but give me the anxious jittery feeling all day long! It also gave me the weak jelly legs all day which I guess could have been part of the anxiety.. I have been ok with it all now since my anxiety has calmed down, but this went on for well over a year, and if my anxiety ever kicks into overdrive again, I'm pretty sure I will be holding off on the orgasms again😭

An orgasm causes hormones to fluctuate which triggers the headache/migraine. At least if you have multiple orgasms during sex you only get the one headache after lol.

Hi Simone
No headache but definitely a blood rush to the head. Sure it's hormones but you should probably check your BP xxxx

I have had this. Freaked me out. Luckily it has only happened a handful of times, not every time. I mentioned it to my doctor, but she did not say much about it except to write it down to see if it got worse. It didn't and has been a while since it happened.
