Hi 🙋 Joycemadine,I would be very interested in the answer to your question as like you suffer from headaches, the vertebrae in my neck have fused together so any surgery is now out of the question but still get neck pain, headaches and weakness down left arm, looks like I got to live with it.

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply, I am very anxious about the operation but have been told that it will only get worse and then if the nerve is damaged then sometimes it is irreversible and harder to operate. I really am scared about the surgery, not that it won't work but of course that is one of the reasons I am having it but the complications and things going wrong. Mine is C4 C5 the bone spur has got be chipped away and then a new disc put in my surgeon says the less work you can get away with the better and if you do not need metal ware then it is best to not bother as this is more that can go wrong, but who knows what they will actually find and have to do.. Is your problems in the Cervical area or both as I was told that depending on which one it is they serve different areas of the body Lumbar is normally legs and downwards but I am no expert - this is all new to me I am also going for a nerve conduction test not sure what that is either. I have pencilled in surgery for the 1st or 2nd October as I cannot live with this pain and the worry of an operation any more x

I was initially sent for physio with my neck problems. Luckily the physiotherapist sat me down and asked me to explain in great detail what had caused my neck ache.
When I explained that I had fallen sideways from a ladder and hit the right side of my head, forcing my neck over to the left, she decided against any kind of manipulative physio and instead applied holistic treatment, the Bowen method. Anything else could have killed me as it was later found I had c/s at levels c4,5,6 and 7.

Hi Joyce,
Don't ask me how but yes, in my case it did help. The physio simply touches certain points of the body, giving the impression that nothing is being done , like acupuncture without the needles. At one point she touched an area of my big toe. Boy did that make me jump, apparently connected from big toe to neck.
Give it a go, it certainly won't hurt to try.
