I hear you... Today now dizzy and hot flashes coming full force, day two of period....so over this. Two years of this happening and counting. Previous to the worst part of all this I was just permanently hot haha...I wish I could have that back. I suspect I have been in peri for nearly 6 years but two years of it horrendous.

Hi Jamie,
I'm sorry to hear you are suffering from this affliction. I have suffered with headaches during my cycle that after yrs became migraines and now during peri have turned into monstrous migraines that last for days. It's been difficult to deal with on top of all the other symptoms but i take Maxalt waffers and stay in bed with ice packs and pray for it to pass soon. I am up now after a 3 day stint in bed. Drink lots of water.

Same here, Shylee. I started getting menstrual migraines 8 years ago (44 now). A little over a year ago, I had my first migraine aura. I usually stay in bed all day with ice packs on my head. I have to work, so I usually only get one day in bed. We only get 10 sick days a year and I get a period every month. I always go to work when I am sick to save my days for migraines. I swear whoever thought up the sick day allotment was a man.

was definitely a man 😕 .... I had my first aura migraine when I was 38 years old. I didn't work out it was hormone related for years...but it is also related to my eyesight deteriorating as I discovered finally getting glasses a few months back they have eased off. I am scared to go back to a workplace as I have migraines and horrendous peri symptoms but I know I have to try.

The first thing my neurologist said to me was, "I see lots if women for the first time at your age." So, there is definitely a connection! My eyesight has gone straight downhill. I was prescribed glasses for the first time last year, but I still haven't committed to wearing them. They are so hard to get used to! But, you are definitely not alone with migraines during your period. xo
