Ive been on 10mg citalopram for 4 weeks now, the last week ive had really bad dizziness but now (on week 4 tomorrow) ive had a headache on the left side all day and ear pressure...feel like my head could burst! Is this normal? Is it a side effect? Ive been put on these mainly for health anxiety and this isnt helping i need reassurance!!

Start up effects are similar to withdrawal effects, I've reduced my dose and I am very familiar with the symptoms you mention, I have been going through them all recently.
There are many side effects when you start citalopram that could go on for several weeks or much longer. When I first started taking them my symptons went on for 10/11 weeks before I was able to go back to work. Also, your anxiety increases in the beginning so you may be having some anxiety symptoms together with start up symptoms.
I have read on here others who have experienced the same as you. 😊

It could be simply one of these nasty bugs going. My sinuses are filling up giving me headaches and feeling pressure in my ears. Had this since before Christmas. its also making me feel run down. Im sure that what i have is a bug as a couple of other friends have this as well and theyre not on citalopram .
