Healing of posterior THR incision

Posted , 8 users are following.

I had THR in the left hip on 6/10/15.  My incision has been healing well except for the part that touches the bed when I lay on my back. Part of the skin broke and when I wiped the gauze was yellow. It has since dried up but still red. Has anyone had the same experiences?

Gayle is there any way you can lay down on white lamb's wool small Mat on your bed. The oils in that help heal that kind of sore and feels good to lay on.You need bare skin on the lamb's wool tho.

    Hope you feel better soon.

dear gayle .... I didn't, but I asked them to keep the dressing on - just in case -

can you tell if it is seepage from a perhaps open up wound - have it checked out okay - or someone to have a good look at it ...

have a calm and peaceful night

Yes any Redness!! get it checked right away, go to the nurse at your GPs and they will get you to the hospital or the district nurse to come and see in 24 hrs, dont let the infection spread any further, it is serious, and needs to be sorted out....!!
