health anxiety

I had to just post something as I am sat here driving myself crazy, thought it best to get my feelings out.

I feel so scared, im convinced something is seriously wrong. One minute I will get chest pains and panic and relate it to something heart related. The next im so tired I feel like I will pass out but not wake up. Or I am over analysing everything such as ive had a strange freckly mole show up and I worry it could be skin cancer (admittedly ive foolishly looked all of this up on the interenet and it sends you into a bigger problem)

Im convinced I dont have long left and im freaking myself out about it

Can anyone help or has anyone felt similar x

    Hi kerrianne

I have nd do feel d same its an absolute nightmare. It started out of blue a yr ago had all tests under d sun all ok apart from irregular heartbeat. But at times i get sudden feeing of weirdness hard t describe but a sensation somethin bad wil happen or i feel wobbly n faint n start t get little panicky. It's bloody scarey but im not normally anxious or that i think its my subconscious and you need to try to retrain your thinking as once your brsin knows well if i do this she will think something ill happen and it will feed off ur adrenaline. So once yr tests ok and u feel funny say to urself no im fine this will pass soon try t relax i think deep breating is a god send n so is my wee prayers t archangel Raphael!!  Forpast three wks ive been wakin up during nite with heart jumping out of my throat and racing n short of breath. I ended up in hosp thenbut my blood work fine.  So when it keeps happening i now take dtink of cold water n breathe slow until heart slows so ive t take control as best I can. Also i take passiflora drops since January this yr n i cudn live without them. Chin up n dont ley this defeat u xx good t no others in same boat n we not goin mad lol

Thanks fpr replying! I know how you feel with the weird feeling/sensation of something bad about to happen. I have had so many tests its silly but as soon as one thing gets cleared up I worry about something else! Sometimes I can control the feelings but other nights like tonight I just cant stop thinking about it all.

it is nice to know im not alone

I have wendl and seen a couple of different doctors dor different opinions. Ive had a few tests done too they say im depressed and have anxiety but the physical symptoms freak me out so much its hard to ignore them as 'just' anxiety

Aw bless you... I was feeling this way too until recently, its awful! I was so tired i was dizzy all the time and every sensation in my body was going to kill me i thought! I am having CBT and it is helping... Once it was explained to me WHY my body was reacting this way i have been able to deal with it better. Also, medication for me, has been a godsend! You do not have to suffer, see you GP xx

I can relate to the tablet thing! I'm scared of paracetamol even these days. I have to get my mother. To come round and sit with me whilst i take new medication but it is worth it once you start to feel better

    Hello Kerrianne,

You're symptoms are the exact same as mine. I constantly get chest pains and tightness, too! One time, just before last Christmas I was convinced I was having a heart attack so I went to the hospital (in an ambulance, too!) and they did two ECG's on me that day and told me my heart was fine, and that I was having an anxiety attack.

Have you gone to your doctor to discuss these feelings you're getting? Have you had any tests done? It may help put your mind at ease.

    Stay strong! <3>
