Health anxiety

Anyone else suffer health anxiety? Im bad enough with me but even worse when its my children. My husband has to stop me from having them in hospital because im always adamant they have something more than they have. When people say mothers instinct kicks in mine does all the time. How do u control it? I panic when i have them on my own when they r ill i start having panic attacks and being sick etc because i worry so much x

    I'm the same with myself and especially my 2 lil girls,they only have to say they have a headache and I think there's something wrong with there brain.its normal to worry about your children health anxiety is horrible and makes you feel sick,sometimes the only way I feel better is take myself to a&e to get reasurrAnce I'm ok.

      Im not so bad with myself because its me i no i can take myself to docs etc if i have something im not sure on. My son for example has had viral tonsilitus all week and a cold. He came out in a rash on friday which the chemist told me was a viral rash, did the tumbler test and pressed it etc and it dissapeared. Hes just woke up tonight shouting ouch ouch and holding his neck, he wont tell me what hurts and fell straight bk to sleep but now i cant help but think its menigitus im avoiding googling anything which is what i would normally do cos it feeds my anxiety but im so worried just have this knot in my tummy feel sick x

      I try not google anything to do with health anymore as every little thing ends up a serious illness and like you say it justs makes the anxiety worse.im sure your sons symtoms are normal for a viral infection it can give them aches and pains too but if your really worried take him to the doctors for reasurrance.hope he's better soon

    Yes dont worry you are not alone. i constantly believe i had so many things wrong with me, ill have a sip of wine and think ive got liver disease. its horrible , just know you are not alone xxxx
