Wow I honestlyy can't imagine being in this state of anxiety. I know this was posted over a year ago but I sincerely hope that the anxiety and worry has subsided and that you can enjoy your life with your partner and daughter.
I know anxiety is a crippling thing.

Hi Laura,
I hope you get this since I know your posting was from more than a year ago. I also hope you were able to get the help you needed since then. I'm experiencing something extremely similar to you and would like to connect with you somehow. I had a traumatic birth nearly a month ago. I had sudden onset eclampsia and nearly died twice in two days. Thankfully my baby was unscathed. Since coming home I have not been the same. On top of dealing with residual blood pressure issues and a minor condition (characteristic of postpartum eclampsia) I experience extreme symptoms on nearly a nightly of full body tremors, chills, impending doom, my right arm hurts, dizziness, headaches, body numbness, etc etc etc. I've been to the ER three times in two weeks because I'm convinced something is wrong with my heart-tests were run and everything has come back fine. Every night i feel as though something major is going to happen and I'm going to die. I'm in the process of getting a series of tests done, including an EEG and an echocardiogram tomorrow. An MRI is soon to follow. I was in the ER last night convinced I had a blood clot. The tech did an ultrasound of my leg where I was experiencing a Charlie horse sensation, and when I was told no DVT was found I didn't believe him and asked him to check again. I still wasn't convinced when the results were the same. By the time I saw the doctor he ordered a CT Scan of my heart and lungs to check for clots and none were found. I was relieved on one hand but on the other I wasnt because I was hoping to get to the bottom of all these bizzare symptoms. My husband is very supportive, but at the same time I can tell he is beginning to wonder if my symptoms are psychosomatic or anxiety-driven. I myself am starting to wonder. Of course I won't know for certain until the results come back for my brain and heart. I've also started counseling for post-partum depression. I just want to go back to feeling myself again.

Hey Hun. Yes I am suffering really bad health anxiety right now. The first I got obsessed with my heart and this was when I started having panic attacks have been to a&e serveral times because of it. Had countless ECGs, chest X-ray and a blood test on my heart which is supposed to be this sensitive test and I'm in really good health so have started to realise that my hearts fine, it's anxiety and it's ok, if I was going to have a heart attack I would of had one by now anyway with all the symptoms, don't get me wrong though when I have s panic attack it still scares me. But it's about trying to tell yourself in that moment that it's an anxiety attack, it's ok, your ok. Plus if tests all come back fine for your heart then deffo anxiety. but now I've moved onto another part of my body which I've become obsessed with just hope I can get passed this one. Just thought let you know your not alone. Hugs X

I have been dealing with this for 2 years. Always think heart attack. I've had countless ekgs and tests. Nothing. They put me on lexapro, bystolic for both heart palpitations and BP and vistaril and lexapro for anxiety. Worked great. Got pregnant. Switched to labetolol. And stopped all anxiety meds. Was doing great. Grandmother passed away unexpected in Sept from heart attack. I have had constant fear since. Baby was born end of Oct. Went back on meds. Not helping at all. Gallbladder removed last week. Stones. Still having symptoms of chest pain shortness of breath etc. Go back to work from leave Friday and not any better. Follow up with Dr tomorrow going to see about trying something else or doing more tests.
