i have anxiety and recently i think i have got health anxiety. since suffering with anxiety i am so much more in tune with my body and i notice every little thing, i keep getting kind of achy arms/hands, maybe not even an ache but not quite a pain, sometimes feels like when you get an injection. obviouly this sends me to panic mode when i know this is probably irrational:( has anyone else struggled with this? anxiety is draining x

what you are going through is very common. The more we focus on every little sensation in our body, the more we will have those sensations. There are many sensations we get that are completely normal but we tell ourselves that something is wrong. The achy arms and hands you get can absolutely be caused by over worrying. I had that many many times plus many more sensations.
Yes it is irrational . but the more we keep thinking something is wrong the more our brain will believe that, and then more sensations keep coming.
I know this because I did this for years and if we don’t find a way to stop doing this, we live our lives very unhappy, miserable and depressing. All for no reason.
One thing that really helped me was staying busy with other things. And staying out of my head and my thoughts. If you have a hard time with this, get some counseling to help you manage it. I wasted so many years with this kind of worry and the whole time there was nothing wrong with me.
of course everybody should get a yearly physical check up. And when that turns out OK then go live your life!stay busy. Do things for other people to take your mind off of yourself. Remember that negative scary thoughts are not based on reality or fact. they are only based on emotion which is fear.. get some support for this so you can live a peaceful joyful life. I am so much happier now . feel free to private message me anytimetake care

Like a lot of things in life, the best way to treat a problem is to hit it from the side. That is, to treat anxiety, do things that produce calm; to stop worrying about your health, do things that do not involve your health. Weirdly enough doing these sorts of things allow your body to calm down. This is a lesson I have to keep relearning through my life because it's easy to focus on a problem and then keep focusing and focusing -- but unlike problems in other fields, doing this doesn't help you relieve anxiety -- it only makes it worse.
