Health anxiety and sinuses.

This will be a long one, I'm also going to show my doctor what I'm going to write as I can't seem to get my point across. All I need to know is an I going to die and am I fine this post may be long so here it goes:

So a few months back I started getting headaches, but they weren't headaches, it was sort of pressure just above my Temple area, forehead and the bridge of the nose, this was followed by slight dizziness and full headed feeling and just always tired. I have a blocked nose constantly for the last 4 months and a constant nasal drip sort of like form continuously going down my throat. Alongside this I have facial heat and need a fan on daily to soothe the heat in my face, not a burning sensation just an annoying hotness like a dry heat in my face I always sleep with a fan on.

So this is where anxiety started coming into play, where I had this dizziness and slight headaches, I tricked myself into believing I was dying or had a Tumor or an anyyurism, this fear of the dizziness and pressure got so bad it turned into constant worry I was just going to drop dead, so every little pain I felt in my head I believe I'm going to die still now they diagnosed me with health anxiety and I'm seeking therapy. However they don't know of this possible sinus issue.

I said to the doctor when I was diagnosed and Hospitsl doctors and GP doctors all say stop worrying you don't have anything wrong in my head but I don't listen and fear takes over.

But the question I need to know is, or if any of you have had similar, like a pressure feeling in your head not painful at all just feels like a rubber band around the top of your head followed by a tight feeling on the bridge of your nose, nasal drip and slight dizziness. Is this sinus issues? If so this is the cause of my severe anxiety...

If anyone read this through I'd love feedback and reassurance I'm not going to die or if this sounds like sinus issues and my

Anxiety makes it all worse! Thanks

Is your dizziness is like vertigo type? (World is turning) or you feel like moving (pendulum type) or light head. I feel all the same way. I got panic disorder but lowered down to gad. Bring flonase and avoid molds

I do genuinely believe it's panic and my sinuses that causes all this confusion and worry, it's horrible to feel this rubber band around my head. And I ended up in hospital because my heart, true me I've had countless ECG's and its stress and panic that caused my tight chest and pains

I'd recommend seeing an ears, nose & throat doctor. Your symptoms seem sinus related, so it's good to get that checked by a professional in that field.

I've had sinus problems for years, and years ago had a septoplasty done on the right side for a deviated septum. I'm currently going through everything you've listed, and have found out that I now need a septoplasty done on the left for a deviated septum. I also have a cyst in my left maxillary sinus cavity.

Although none of his is serious in nature, it makes life hell. GP's are generally of no help in this area, so a specialist is your best bet.

Thank you so much for your comment, it really does suck in 19 and it's ruined my life, not even being dramatic it's the cause of everything gone wrong, I mistake it for the worst even though it is horrible to have so I feel your pain

Do you know how I'd go about asking for an ENT as my doctors are always so reluctant to listen to me and just throw it aside

You would need to look for a Otolaryngologist (ENT) doctor through your insurance or system. I'm not sure how it works by you. I live in the US, and have private insurance, so I basically had to look for a doctor that accepted my insurance.

I had the exact same symptoms(and still do to a certain extent) I had two visit to the emergency room and bloods taken.

Went to see must the next day for results and everything was good but I had a terrible pressure in the back of my head and a constant feeling of being dizzy but I knew I wasn't actually dizzy as I could walk a straight line and touch my nose with my finger tip 10/10 times very quickly catch a baseball and everything I could think of to test it. I had constant panic attacks over this as well this lasted for two months before I sought treatment via the hospital then the dr. The dr said he suspected anxiety and put me on Celexa (citalopram) and after two weeks the pressure just disappeared but I still had a head ache in some specific spots of my head, well 4 weeks later that disappeared for the most part now the last week I've been having more of the dizzy or almost like a foggyvor cloudy feeling with a headache but I've also had a fever and not felt well during that period, today is better but still sort of foggy, all I can say is we sound very similar and medication is helping me out a lot, still not perfect but I know it takes time. I'm currently 7 weeks in and hopefully I'll keep climbing back to normalcy, I hope this helps calm you down I know this forum has done wonders for me I was literally on the couch waiting to die of. BRain cancer before I found this forum and it got me out of bed and back to work and thinking more positive to get me this far which I'm about 70% back to myself

You and I are both the same, did it feel like pressure just on the side, back and front of head, it isn't dizziness like you described it's sort of just s full headed feeling much like you describe I do believe anxiety is making it worse. In 1 week 2 days into my cirtoplam medication for my health anxiety but I need to see a doctor or an ENT for my sinuses as these two combined are a very horrible combination

This could be inflammation, diet, alergy to something enviornmental or a food you are eating. It can be from medication, dry air, humid air, mold or dust, fungus,  So many things can do this. Anxiety can incurr tmjd which can cause a host of awful symtoms as well.  If there is no infection a doctor wont pursue. You can try seeing a complimentary or alternative doctor they treat the whole body and might have a more helpful approach. It can be frustrating trying to figure this all out at times. I personally do not think its all anxiety. Nasal drips are very connected to candida and fungus you can try saline rinses and a healthy diet and drinking lots of water.

Anxiety makes everything seem worse. No you wont die from this. Its a mindset, a bad one but thats what it ends up being. If you have rugs and such maybe hardwood floors are better, dont collect every envornmental allergen as a rug does and try to keep your enviornment clutter free. Easoer to keeo it clean and they sell really great hepa filters. Worth their weight in Gold. That and saline rinses. It you do not have deviated septum and no issues with having ir had ear tubes in your ears from infections you can try a netti pot or a saline pump. Of interest the eustatian tubes runs ear to nise and any blockage or inflammation creates pressure as well. Infounf this out as inhave a retracted eustatian tube, hopefully healing from a few sinus colds i had iver the last six months. Thats all the ideas i can think of i hooe it helps a bit. I do not think its all just from anxiety, im not a Doctor but they dont tend to care much overall unless you have an infection or deformity thats where their job scope ends.
