Health anxiety and UTI

For the last week I've been suffering from what my practice nurse has said is a UTI. I am on antibiotics, which aren't working and my anxiety is through the roof. I have pain in my lower abdomen which won't go away and I've convinced myself that I have bladder cancer. I'm at my wits end with all this, the anxietys ruining my life.

if the nurse said you have a UTI, then they must have done a urine test. That would have showed some bacteria. That has nothing to do with bladder cancer. Don’t let your mind go to the extreme by over thinking. UTIs are extremely common. Were you told that the antibiotics were not working or are you just thinking that? Make sure you take them according to the directions and don’t skip any. You must have a follow up appointment? remember that you’re thought of bladder cancer is not based on fact or reality it’s only based on fear. You’re gonna be OK

Take D mannose, It CHANGED my life. It sorts out utis faster than antibiotics. Even women with interstitial utis take it as antibiotics stop working for them.

Also, always pee after sex and wash with no soap and just water, no one tells you that. Especially for women. Not peeing after sex causes UTIs.

I really wish I would have something constructive to say, but I'm a guy and this is out of my element. Just know you aren't the only one that battles this. I was having some urological issues back in 2020. I was terrified. When they couldn't find the answer, I was absolutely sure it was cancer. It wasn't but I was convinced. Of course, I'm also terrified of doctors which made it even worse. I guess what I am saying is you aren't alone with this type of anxiety and fear. I'd do almost anything to take this pain and anxiety away. Praying for you during this difficult time.
