Health anxiety back again :(

I have severe health anxiety which today is really bad
my big fear is lyphoma, half of the time I'm sure my symptoms are imaginary, my anxiety definitely gives me symptoms I don't have
I have posted on here before with regards to alcohol induced pain from lyphoma, and I'm terrified I have this symptom. I've been to scared to drink and I keep researching this symptom (a lot come with stabbing pain in shoulders minutes after consuming a sip of alcohol
today i decided to test this and had some wine. I didnt get any Instant pain at all , but I did get a strange feeling in my shoulders that came and went a few times , could my anxiety of expecting this symptom cause it? from what I've researched it is not similar to the typical alcohol pain related to lyphoma, but of course my anxiety is telling me different
I'm od to my friends hen party in a few weeks , I really want to be able to enjoy it but my anxiety is just going to take over:(
I've recently had scans on my liver spleen due to suspected fatty liver bit they all came back clear , and bloods are also clear

if your blood test was clear then you don’t have lymphoma because it would have shown on that. And yes, your anticipation of feeling pain or weird sensations is telling your brain to actually produce the symptoms. This is what anxiety does. Your brain will believe whatever you tell it. So you need to reverse that and tell yourself that you’re fine. I know your anxiety tells you otherwise but the main thing is you need to acknowledge to yourself that this is anxiety talking and anxiety is not based on rational logic but it’s based only on fear. So the more you tell yourself that the less you will have the symptoms. it also helps to stay busy and keep your mind on other things.

????? I'm confused. what do you mean lymphoma pain?
I WAS diagnosed almost a year ago by a routine blood test during my yearly check-up!! I didn't have ANY symtoms!!! I still don't. am not even being treated....just monitored by monthly bloods.
I think you need to BREATHE☺.

I have read online that you can experience pain when drinking alcohol with lyphoma (pain in the lymphnodes ) , a rare symptom apparently but its one that my anxiety has become obsessed with:(

hi again....since I don't drink(except for an OCCASIONAL glass of wine, or a pina colada😍)
I really can't answer that. but, I've not experienced pain with that limited amount!

Hi KM1990, Is there a specific reason why you focused in on lymphoma? Anxiety can cause all kinds of physical symptoms & yes you can put symptoms into your head & cause your body to experience them, the brain is a powerful thing, so important to keep anxiety under check....have you ever tried CBT(Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) its similar to what Jan suggested only with a counsellor, it can really help with anxiety, esp. the type related to medical illnesses....you should be reassured your tests are all good but, this anxiety can take over your life and really ruin so many wonderful experiences you should be having, when it disrupts your life, its time to see your Dr...try some relaxation &/or breathing exercises (Jan had great advice) Take Care and Best Wishes💒♾💞☮🐾🌈🎶🍀

thank you for replying
it all started when someone I know was diagnosed with it over a year ago , I was convinced I had it , but my symptoms then called down until one night I went out and work up with a painful lump in my armpit , me being me I connected it to alcohol and lymphoma, even though I did not actually have pain when drinking at that time. and I was informed my lump was infect a cyst (I can actually still feel the cyst sack )
but I then think I have all these other symptoms for example a small lymph node in my groin , which had been there for about 5 years and not actually change size (pea size ) but my anxiety just takes over and convinced me its lyphoma .
I know I need help, but I am to scared to go and get the help I need
some days I'm fine , other days it's awful.
its nice to be able to talk about it on here , my husband thinks I'm crazy !

Hi KM, No you aren't crazy...you have severe anxiety and it is the thing that can control your life...there is always hope, you should at least try counselling and if one doesn't work, find one you click with(it makes a difference)...there are some simple things like CBT, that you can continue to do at home on your own...there are many stress/anxiety reducing techniques you could benefit from with a pro!! There are various meds, that you can take very low dose, it can take a few months but, it may be worth it NOW as you can prevent anxiety from getting worse & effecting more of your daily life...If talking on here helps keep it up & I really hope you can get this anxiety out of your life, Best Wishes💒♾💞🐾🌈🎶☮🍀
