I'm due on my period in a couple of days and have been having bad PMS

on sayurdayb I strained really hard for a bowl movement (sorry tmi), and the after I noticed a bit of bleeding from my vagina (definitely came from here I checked ) yesterday when went toilet it was fine

today I have just been to the toilet and the same things had happened but this time I wasnt really straining

I had a smear test done a couple of months ago which was clear and I had a baby 9 months ago

I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar ?

I have health anxiety so always think the worst

I am a guy, so i dont know much about your problem, except that straining to have a bowel movement is bad all the way around. I have hemhroids due to straining and often bloody stools, I usually bleed from the rectum once a month, i call it my period. And yes i am miserable during that time as well. But it goes away as quick as it came. Straining to have a bowel movement puts a lot of stress on your lower parts and it doesnt surprise me if you had a discharge from places that should not be bleeding. What i was told to do by my doctor, and this is good advice for you too, to drink copius amounts of water and find a stool softener over the counter, so you dont strain when having a bowel movement. Try to watch your diet as well, fruits and vegetables a must, stay away from cheese and starches. Hope this helps.

I cant really help because I've not had this issue, but you said about having baby 9 months ago.. how long did you feel yourself afterwards with having health anxiety too? I have a 4 year old and never had issues but after having my son 11 weeks ago I've had 'issue' after 'issue' despite many tests that have kept coming back clear they have put it all down to health anxiety and overthinking which is causing me physical symptoms.. just wondered if you've had similar issues or how long you actually felt back to normal after birth?

Hi KM, It is possible to have spotting a few days around your period, esp. having had a baby within the last year....if it continues in between periods you should talk to your DR...if it is worrying you, call in and see what they advise...Good Luck & BEST WISHES💒🎶♾🌈🐾🍀☮

P.S. You should probably ask your DR about something for softening your bowel movements, fiber (whole grains, fruit, veggies)& plenty of water can help but, if you're breast feeding check with your DR about ANY medication, over the counter or prescription...🍀☮
