Hello everyone,

i am 26 and i suffer with major health anxiety. Recently over the past 5 weeks ive been going through a really bad time. It all started when i got on the scales one morning and realised i had lost 6lbs without changing anything in terms of diet or exercise so me being anxious automatically jumped to the conclusion that i have some sort of cancer! so ever since that day i've been worried sick. i have been to the hospital twice and on both visits i had a full set of bloods done, ecg and its all come back normal but i am still dropping weight its only recently that ive lost my appetite also and now im not sleeping properly either and frequently have night sweats so as you can imagine i am an emotional wreck and have no motivation to do anything as ive already got myself dead and buried! has anyone else been through a similar experience and if so could you share your story ive currently lost 15lbs and my weight seems to be going down daily

hello! first and for most, you are NOT alone in this.

I had major health anxiety episode in summer and lost 10lbs even though I was eating normally (and maybe even more then usual). I also would sweat a lot during the day.

I think reason behind that weight loss is anxiety. It's actually a very common symptom of it. losing your appetite could be related to stress that you are going through but please keep in mind that eating healthy food is crucial. without healthy diet and lots of water your anxiety will only get worse and your body will feel much weaker.

so no, you most likely don't have any type of cancer, just anxiety. now "unbury" youself, go drink water, eat something, STOP GOOGLING SYMPTOMS and remember that you are stronger than your health anxiety. I am rooting for you!!!
