Health Anxiety enlarged lymph node

I know may people post about this but honestly my health anxiety has been so bad since I found a lump in my neck. I have seen 2 doctors and they both say it is an enlarged lymph node and 1cm or less.

I don't have any other symptoms apart from occasional chest pain (not severe - haven't seen doctor about) but I'm not sure if that's psychological or caused by me feeling worried about this.

Obviously I'm worried it's going to be something like Lymphoma and somehow changed since the doctor looked at it. I'm also scared because I'm 21 and that's what age it's most common in.

    There is no age its common in. You have been infected with viral infections like EBV or CMV, is also very common.

    Its nothing to worry about, cause it will take some time to be cleared by your immune system.

    Did the doctors conduct any tests or anything? I've had the same problem sad 

    I'm 16 and I have really bad health anxiety and I found 2 nodes in my neck, and another one popped up a few days ago. They're literally all on top of each other and I'm so scared about it. But I saw my doctor about 2 months ago and she just said they were lymph nodes and that they pop up because of infections...

    Anyway, if you get any news about yours, I'd appreciate knowing confused

      Ah I see! They are so annoying in terms of anxiety sad I've just learned to accept that many people get them and most of the time they are nothing to worry about. I still stress about mine a little but I guess as long as they do not get bigger then they are considered 'normal'. If the doctor has checked them and said they are okay then we should believe them haha.

      The doctor told me to go back if they haven't gone down within 2 months so I will maybe go back soon. I've just had to make myself not stress too much because doctors have told me everything is okay smile

    I also am going through a possible health anxiety. In March 2017, I found a lump in my lower right breast really mobile and felt like a pebble . Went and got an ultrasound and they said they suspect it's a fibroidadonema. That wasn't good enough for me though I start picking and feeling and go and find another lump under my arm. My doctor orders another ultrasound and it comes back a cyst and noted small lymph nodes under my arm which I cannot feel. So I convinced myself I had breast cancer and shortly after that inflammatory breast cancer because my chest felt different on both sides and I was experiencing break outs on my chest and red skin ( probably from me touching it constantly). Now I have two lymph nodes on the back of my neck one on each side really small. I run back to the doctor only thing I have is a runny nose from allergies. She says they feel small soft and mobile. My blood work comes back normal. But that's still not good enough for me because I can't figure out why these lymph nodes would appear out of nowhere. Now I'm convincing myself there's a possibility of lyphoma. Before I googled up breast cancer I didn't even know what lymph nodes were. You would think by now I would be grateful that nothing is wrong with me and just be happy. Maybe if I stopped googling I would feel better. I'm also 21

      Oh gosh these lymph nodes are a nightmare! They cause so much anxiety sad I mean, breast cancer is rare for your age as you are 21 and if the doctor has told you they are fine then that is good. I've stopped googling because honestly it just fuels my anxiety, I'm trying to forget about it but it's always at the back of my mind! Urghhhh just want them to go!!

      Yes I just hope that these aren't connected and that they just disappear on their own.

    I feel your pain! I have 4 lymph nodes swollen on my head/neck area for 4 months now. No other symptoms except some recent chest pain but I think it is anxiety related as I've had that happen b4. I had an MRI done on the first bump that popped up, and ive seen my reg Dr, dermo, and ENT and they all don't seem concerned. They think its skin related (my acne or bad dandruff causing the lymph nodes). But i google obv and then i worry I have lymphoma or something. From what it sounds like tho, a fever, bad night sweats and unexplained weight loss are the main symptoms of something bad. Also my nodes are all small size and all 3 drs agree that if they remain small it's not anything concerning. I just hate the wait and see game! sad Having something odd like this and health anxiety on top of it really makes it hard to remain calm.
