Health anxiety I think

Hi
I am new around here and I really need some sort of advice. I've been getting pressure on top of my head as well as feeling dizzy/light headed. It is worst when I walk but when I am just sitting around or laying down I am fine. I can sleep fine at night without these symptoms bothering me. I've been getting these symptoms since last November and they haven't gone away. Sometimes I get pains in my head on one side of my head sometimes they feel like zaps/shooting pains on my right side of my head which can last for a second or for several mins. I went for an eye test just to rest my mind and they said I am fine and even the 2nd doctor who I have seen tested my eyes and also said I am fine even though I swear I see like black marks in my vision but nothing was picked up.
I have seen 3 different doctors at my gp since November and they all say it is anxiety but I am worried if it's more than that. I keep googling these symptoms for hours upon hours and it is making me feel even worse than I'm already am. The doctor who I have been seeing for the last couple of appointments said I need to go counselling to see if that helps so I signed up to the one at my university. Some of the things I told him what my doctor has said he doesn't really agree with in terms of how he is describing it. So I said to my counselor I really think I have Health anxiety and he agreed as he has told me to stop googling these symptoms but I find it hard not to when you hear it on the radio or read it in a newspaper it starts making me have negative thoughts of it being a brain tumour that I've got and not anxiety.
So I really need someone else's opinion on this. My counsellor said to me that if 3 doctors have said it is anxiety they can't be all wrong can they as he said if they thought it was more than this they would of sent me for a scan etc.
So I am still a bit worried. Some days I don't think about it and other days like today it is on my mind all day.
Thank you
-James

Hi, thanks for the reply.
For me when I keep busy I feel fine most times but it is when I am really do nothing that's when I feel it the most. My doctor said it is tension headaches that I am getting as the pain in my head does move around and isn't always in the same place which to me does help me knowing that. It has been a stressful year at university this year as I have fallen out with friends over silly things and not getting on with everyone doesn't help that matter either. I just feel sometimes I am just alone even though I do like spending time on my own. I still thinking about seeing another doctor for their views but I just think for me doing that will make it worst because I might not be happy if they just say the thing as the rest.

All I can say is it sounds like Anxiety, However posture can cause dizziness, sometimes if you have been involved in an accident in a car you will get problems in the neck, this can cause dizziness when you turn your head. This is caused by trapped nerves in the neck joints/disks
What I would suggest is you try and rotate your neck and also try and keep your neck and head straight. However in your case you need to follow your Specialists advice.
You need to stop using google you will make your Anxiety worse. However it will not do any harm to look into posture and see if that will help

Thanks for the advice. I might look into it as my doctor told me to use Ibuprofen gel for my neck and it does help. I've been told to stay of google as it will make it worst.

Thanks for the reply. I am just going to try and stop thinking about it. I've seen 3 doctors and they have all said the same thing. Google and reading things in the newspaper doesn't help me so I just need to stop.

Stop googling. If your doctor say that your health is ok then it's really ok. Anxiety has the power to make you feel anxious and believe all the worst things in this world happen to you. Of course i have suffered that everyday too, i have headache, feeling pressure around my head. Not just that i also have pressure around my neck and my throat. Which i know that just simply your stress that tighten your muscle. Nothing more. It will be gone once your stress reduces. You should try practicing mindfulness and cognitive behavior therapy.
Maybe find a book about that or see a therapist. They can help you.

I am just going to try and relax until the new terms starts. My muscles in my back of my legs go really tight at times but when I relax I feel fine. I've been told to buy a book on health anxiety to understand it more. I am planning on buying some things from the health shop near me for the pressure in my head as that is what makes the day hard for me.
Thanks for the advice.
