Health Anxiety + Palpitations

Hello everyone,

I'm a 28 year old male who has been experiencing PVCs/PACs since about 16. I first came to notice them during sports and I believe I was getting them quite frequently, at times, every 3 or so beats I'd feel one come prematurely. I was 16 though and after doing an exercise stress test and echo, I didn't think much of it and continued on with life. I believe I had them throughout most of my time into the present day, only that I am now much more conscious of them, unfortunately. Back in 2017, I started to develop pretty bad anxiety over my health. Since 2017 I've had 3-4 echocardiograms (all of which have come back normal), 3 stress tests (which have only showed a handful of PACs, which was explained to me is nothing to worry about), and 4-5 holter monitors, ranging from 3 days-30 days. The first few monitors I wore showed about 20 PACs/PVCs throughout the day. I then saw an electrophysiologist because I needed to be absolutely sure that I got this fully checked out for peace of mind. Anyway, that was the 30 day monitor and I saw the report which showed around 300-500 daily. I was taken back as I only clicked a few events daily and thought I was having maybe 10-15 skipped beats throughout the day. Still, my doctor told me he's not concerned at all. I go to a very reputable heart center on Long Island.

Recently, I've felt my heart has been more "racey" and there are times where I will be sitting down and my heart rate is 90-100 for an hour or two. It may calm down at times but it seems the more I pay attention to it the more it comes out. I am pretty active, I walk 30-60 minutes daily with no problem, I lift weights, not heavy like I used to because that tends to bring out the premature beats. My doctor recently switched me from 12.5mg of atenolol and wanted to put me on 50mg of metropolol. I am only taking 25mg because I'm a bit afraid to take 50 as my heart rate is pretty healthy outside of this few random events I get and I don't want it to get too low. I also seem to experience my heart rate spiking after I stand up sometimes which quickly returns to normal. I feel as though my heart doctor was getting annoyed at me after asking quite a few questions after but unfortunately I read a lot on the internet and it tends to freak me out at times.

I know that was a long winded message, but anyone experience similar type of things and how has your outcome been? It brings comfort to talk to those who have experience similar things to myself.
