🙋

I have health management on monday due too a new role at work and they want to know what I can and cannot do well that's gonna be tricky as what I can do 1 day doesn't mean I can do the next it depends how sore I am

Yesterday I sat at a desk doing paper work from 8am-11 and by did I suffer I was close to tears had 2 swallow hard to keep them from flowing and left work 2 hours earlier than my finishing time due to the pain my employer is well aware of my fibro and in the past i have said no point me having rests throughout the day as sitting only makes me stiff and sore so I normally just plod along but the new role means more paper work

does health management have your medical records?????

Works should only have any medical records that you have specifically allowed them access to via your own GP and any OHS results that they have sent you for themselves. They need to understand the shifting nature of the illness so you need to explain that to them, it cant really be quantified unfortunately and its not predictable. Good Luck xxx

I would just tell them the truth...even have some research printouts for them...they need to know how they can help you...I know that sounds a bit positive..but what's the use of not including them...you never know how good they could be about it all..I guess being honest is the only real way I can handle things...I just can't afford to be stressed over something I can take control off..I really hope and pray it all goes well for you Chris..be blessed and have a great weekend...please update us too..:-) xx

Well did as yous said and was honest my arms and neck are mostly effected so constant use of the same muscle after 5-10mins is like a weight lifting class remember this job change is temporarily untill I can reinstate my old role so the outcome she wants is

No hoovering as constant back and forth action

Only 3 sprays from spray bottles as constant muscle use and they cause the most pain for me

No mopping as again using arms 2 much

Well am laughing again as my new demoted job is domestic duties

1 thing I am glad off us this is in my doctors notes that these things cause me great pain along with stirring pots - some days lifting my hair dryer so that was noted years ago even b4 fibro was diagnosed

What kind of domestic will I make 😅😅😅

I think I may just take unpaid leave untill job role can be reinstated as I would feel silly being a domestic that can't do anything

    I agree with Christine26761.....

Be honest and if they value you as a person as part of the team they will be able to understand your pain and help wherever they can.

I have a data entry job and work 5hrs a day. Make sure your workstation is set up for your use of easy access to your equipment.  You also have the right to take short breaks and walk away and do something different for a few minutes and return to the work later. Go for a stretch and be happy with your day. No point in getting stressed over it and do what you can ? You have to look out for your own health and safety at work too.

Take care and stay positive in your daya to day activities. biggrin

Bee they wanted me too cut my hours but if I did that I would only fight to get my hours back when my situation changes again and would have to reaply for the job vacancy so if I stick with my hours as they are as sore as I get If I keep myself occupied I can manage it's when I sit that I find ime stuck

I have never had that exhausted tired yet at work and I fear that as you all know that's not tired like a bedtime tired that's a let me fall here and sleep I really hate that it makes me cry

Only if you give them written permission and your signature allowing

your doctors to give them your medical records. So don't panic. Good luck anyway
