Hearing a voice

I'm hearing a voice, a female voice that seems to be talking independently of my own internal dialogue. There are times when I can clearly make out what is being said, but most of the time I am not aware. There is a sort of trick of the mind that occurs where I believe and I am emotionally affected by the voice(this is when it's difficult for me to hear), but there are other times when I can hear the voice and I am not affected in any way. It's as if the voice is trying to convince me that it is me and as if it wants to prevent me from being aware of it. Any insight or suggestions and what could I do to become completely aware of the voice?

These are not auditory hallucinations, they are similar to an internal dialog...maybe rather than hearing a voice it would be better to say imagining a voice....a voice that is heard with my minds ear, if there is such a thing.

I hear my voice when I think It seems to be something that the brain does and what would you expect, How would the brain give and gain attention if we are talking about something. A converstation is our thoughts.

If I suppose the brain suggests something wrong there may be a conflict regards right and wrong. As long as we do the right thing, whatever that is

The problem arises when the brain tricks us by chosing another identity and we follow that other brain thought as we consider ourselves two different people.

When I am typing my brain keeps my fingers hitting the keyboard on the right letter, in that case my brain explains the letter I wish to hit

John if you are hearing a female voice, you need to consider why that is,my internal voice is a man as I am Male.

You need to talk to your GP and ask why you feel femail in your thoughts, that will give Him something to think of
