Hearing distortion

I had an M3 unruptured aneurysm clipped five weeks ago. I am left with some slurred hearing, like you would hear if you were playing the piano with the sustain pedal held down. It's not really that slurred, but that's the closest way I can think of. The surgery was on top of (over) my left ear. According to my surgeon, I do have some fluid under my skin in the area of my ear's sideburn. I play the piano, and it was disconcerting to listen to my playing. I'm thinking it may go away after the healing has a chance to settle down, but has anyone have a word for this hearing distortion?

Thank you.
