Hearing problems

I visited my doctors because my hearing wasnt as good as it used to be.  I had them syringed but didnt get that instant improvement in my hearing. The nurse checked and said it was so clear she could see the bones behind my ear,  she said to give it a week. it was no better after a week, in fact I had awful earache in my left ear the day after I had them syringed.  I went to the gp who gave me ear drops and anasal spray. This made no difference.  I'm in a choir and it's affecting that now sad  I did have a  phase of bad dizziness where the room was spinning for a few days before I went to the doctors but haven't had it since. I still get the odd bit of slight earache in my left ear.
