Hearing pulse in ear that wont stop??

For the past week or so Ive been having these random periods where Ill hear my heartbeat in my left ear. All random times, though its more common in the mornings/early afternoons. For some reason it tends to go away when I drink more water, which Im guessing is either an anxiety issue or a weird dehydration symptom that i suddenly have. Anyways today its been going on for about 10 min and wont stop. Its not every pulse, but just random. Im not even sure its matching up to my heartbeat actually. Its just driving me INSANE. How do i get this to stop? Is this some new anxiety symptom that I just have to deal with since some of my others are slowly going away? I read online that says its a sign of all these blood vessle issues along with brain tumors and stuff, so of course Im assuming the anxiety is the thing bringing it back lately. Before last week I hardly ever had this happen

i would advise having your doctor check it out just to make sure all is ok. I have had what sounds like thumping in my ear which I attribute to anxiety.  It will give you peace of mind to have it looked at.

Thank you, yeah I was afraid it was that. Went to doctor today, ear infection and some fluid stuck in there. On three meds now to make sure it goes away and doesnt come back everytime my allergies act up.
