Heart Attack or Panic Attack?

I recently went to a doctor when I had a burning/tight pain in the left side of my chest that radiated to my left upper back as well as my left ear/temple. The doctor took my blood pressure and my heart rate and diagnosed it as a panic attack. On the day of the ''panic attack", I already felt discomfort in my chest since morning and the pain got worse at about 7pm-8pm, which is why I decided to consult a doctor. He prescribed me with gastric medicine and Xanax and told me there was nothing to worry about and that I should start feeling better soon. However, the next day, the same burning sensation is present in my left chest and I feel fatigued and dizzy.

Could the doctor have misdiagnosed me? Is this actually a heart attack? When should I be convinced that it is not a heart attack or is a heart attack? What is causing the burning pain in my chest and how long will it last?
