Heart flutters anyone?

Hi everyone,
My anxiety is bad at the moment, I can hear my heart thumping away and getting palpitations and heart flutters. It's a weird sensation in my chest, like air pockets. Anyone have anything similar?
Thanks

Can you describe how you feel please? Need some reassurance, freaking out right now.

It feels like my heart is spazzing out at times. Sometimes it’s just one little flutter. At times they last for up to 6 seconds. Sometimes it feels like there is just one hard heartbeat then goes back to normal. What do yours feel like?

Well, I can hear my heart thumping away in my ears. It sounds normal one minute then I get like a surge of air in my chest and I feel a flutter, I'm not sure if it goes fast all of a sudden like doubling up of a beat. So hard to describe, I try not to listen to it because it scares me. I woke up and took a drink or water and then it started. I thought perhaps it was my stomach gurgling but I've had it a few days now.

What do you mean about your heart beating backwards?

Hi! Yes, I get them really bad when I'm on my period. It's so hard during this time!

Do you know why that is? Is it stress related?

My doctor told me because of hormones and estrogen. Estrogen levels drop during this time causing stress, anxiety, depression, and the list goes on 😞 I've started to keep a journal to see what triggers my heart flutters and shortness of breath. It is definitely around my period, when I'm super stressed, or when I've had too much sugar. Hope this helps!

Yup. I get awful heart palpitations constantly. It’s horrible. Sometimes they’re so bad I feel like I’m going to faint.
I haven’t seen a cardiologist yet.. but I actually just made an appointment to see one. Just want to make sure my hearts ok although I’m 99% sure it’s jusy anxiety. 🙄🙄

Thanks Darlarae,
It's a horrible feeling isn't it. At least you will be able to put your mind at ease seeing a cardiologist. I get lightheaded though that could be anxiety. I am going to try to get a doctor's appointment later.
All the best
