Heart is beating so fast

I suffer from anxiety and depression and my heart feels like it is racing really fast when its only doing 81 bpm. Does anyone else get the feeling that their heart is racing when it really  isnt. Its  making me feel so uneasy i cant sit still.

Is it racing or is it Pounding  My heart pounds so hard I can literally see it Its most likely anxiety,  There are a lot of anxiety meds out there.  Talk to your doctor about it and see what's best for you.  My pounding heartbeat begins when I wake up in the morning and seems to taper off slowly as the day goes on and disappears at night.

Hi Sandra it feels like my heart is on the outside of my chest. I got a heart rate app and now im obsessed with using it all the time and when it goes over 80 I panic because its supposed to be between 60 and 80 at rest. I hate obsessing over things its driving me nuts

Did you see a cardiologist?  If yes, what he or she saying about your heartbeat is higher than normal?  I made a complaint like that but they said it didn't come up like that checking my vitals and listening to my heart. I can't understand how they can't hear heavy pounding listening.  It gets to the point where I want to reach in and pull it out.  It drives me crazy along with the anxiety.  I don't know why I have anxiety, nothing is bothering me.   If there is nothing wrong with your heart, see your doctor if he or she can prescribe an anti-anxiety drug and or Ativan /lorazepam,  It should calm your heart.  Usually when you feel like something is wrong with your heart and they say your heart is fine. It may definitely be anxiety.  I've made that complaint before. Right now I'm on Buspar and Lorazepam.  It may or may not help but it's worth a try

I do too, but then I fear what awaits me in the morning.  I did go on the internet and consult with and online doctor and he says that likely it could be my cortisol is too high.  When your body is calm "sleeping "  it calms down but when we wake up it should balance itself out. He also said to have my potassium and magnesium checked. Stress is a culprit as well and hormonal changes  I hope this helps a little
