Heart monitor follow up

I have been suffering from I think anxiety and chest pains the doctor sent me for a 24 hour ambulatory this apparently did not work so I had another one done. I am a 36 year old male. The doctors have just rang me and the receptionist asked me to book a appointment. I asked if anything is wrong she said their are no notes from the doctor and if their was a issue the doctor themself would of called me. Why would I need a appointment then?? Any advise would be greatÂ

do you mean you wore a heart monitor for 24 hours and it didn't work? If that is the case they most likely just want to repeat it because maybe they did not get a good reading or it just wasn't recording your hearts activity. Your doctor would have called you if they found anything concerning.

Hi. I had 2 tests the first one didn't work the second one was 3 weeks ago. The receptionist rang she said their was no note off the doctor with any issues but I needed to book a appointment at the doctors. So now I am just worried. Perhaps it is routine?

Oh so maybe this is just a follow up appointment after you wore the monitor. Doctors always like to go over results with the patient even if everything is perfectly normal. They like to reassure you.
so it sounds like it's a follow up appointment. Don't be too concerned about it because doctors are supposed to have a patient come back in to discuss any Tests, procedures or monitoring that was done even with good results.
The doctor may tell you that your heart rate was a little fast but that is very common with anxiety and it's not harmful. You'll be fine. 😁
