Heart Pain

Hi there,

I am an active 21 year old male. I have been suffering from a mild pain in my heart for around 4 months now. It generally occurs 2-3 times a day. After this pain began I decided to see my GP who after listening to my heart believed the pain to be more muscular (from working out). The best way to describe the pain is like a mild fluttering sensation in my chest for 2-3 seconds (sometimes longer). Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms to this? Could it be a muscular problem or something more serious?

Cheers Dan

Hi Dan. I’m currently suffering from something similar, but it kind of feels like a twinge followed by a heart flutter which I can feel while taking my pulse. By seeing many gp’s and getting no serious help I’ve come to the conclusion (or hope) that it’s something muscler either a twitch or spasm which then messes with the rhythm of the heart for a second or two.

So nothing to worry to much about as I’m sure you would be more sicker than you are. But there’s no harm in asking for to be referred to see a cardiologist to ease your mind.

    Hope everything goes ok 👍

Hi Matt. Yes fingers crossed it's a muscular problem and nothing too serious. I think I will ask for a referral to hopefully find out what the problem is exactly.

      Thanks for the reply,

      Dan
