Heart palpation and Fibromyalgia

I was wondering if anyone else experiance heart palpatations with fibro;especially when there is a flare up? When my pain is really bad i find that i get them quite frequently and it is scary. I am in a flare right that has lasted about two weeks.It started when my sesonal allergies reared its ugly head.I got sick with that,then a flare followed.I've been off work now now about 8days and i've been miserable.Intermittent anxiety which came with a myriad of symptoms landed me in thr ER twice in a week.

I will be honest, when this happens i feel so helpless.When the heart palps and  the pain comes followed by the numbness it just floors me.

So if any of you get the palps with Fibro flare ,how do you deal with them?

    Yes I do and I would suspect many Fibro sufferers experience these symptoms. It could be due to stress and worry as well. But Since you have been to the hospital a few times Kippy, If There was something serious to be concerned about, you would know by now. So be reassured that this symptom will disappear. What you are experiencing is mainly a bout of anxiety. What we fear will manifest itself in the pain and palpitations and numbness. Try to stop worrying dear and get some rest so you can feel better.     Yes I get them. Sometimes right when I wake up, sometimes in the middle of the night, sometimes during the day. I had an xray to see if the heart was enlarged which it wasn't so I attribute it to fibro. All I can do about it is lay down and rest or sit still a while.

    yes i do do get heart palpitatiions. and alot of chest and chest muscle pain. before i was diagnosed with fibro,i had the same problems but they were never solved. they still do not seem to do anything about after all these years. it is very difficult to deal with. i normally take pain killers and try to rest. please do not panic cause it will make you feel worse. but do consider going to see the doctor..

    Thank you guys,for the reply.They really freak me out.I do get anxiety that comes everyday around the same time.I won't say i get lightheaded but i feel weird in the noggin as if everything is feeling a bit too real if that makes sense.

    I can see how the anxiety and heart palps are correlated.I go see an accupunturists tommorrow to help manage the pain so i hope it helps.

    I do and i thought i was the only one. I don't even tell my dr anymore about all the symptoms i have it would take literally over an hour to try and explain it. She looks at me like im a hypochondriac. Im in pain and the dr thinks im crazy.

    I don't get heart palpatations but my husband did.  He did not have fibro but, this info might help.  His has gerd or acid reflux and so chewing an acid reflux tablet may help.
