    Hi anahita.p

I have had palpitations due to anxieties. The one thing you need to know is that you are not going to have a heart attack its just panic attacks.

Have you ever done deep breathing relaxation meditation. Put on some relaxation music and sit and do some deep breathing take slow breaths in through your nose and out your mouth and count when you do this it will help you calm down

    Try it

I think all you can do is accept those feelings, it is not a heart attack, it is adrenaline causing this to happen, it feels awful but it cannot harm you and the more you try to fight it off the worse it gets.

Sit back, take slow and deep breaths and accept the symptom of anxiety knowing it cannot harm you, there is nothing to fear, anxiety is just lying to you to make you think you are in danger but you are not.

First, like other people are going to tell you; deep breaths. Make sure to breathe in through your nose slowly & deeply, hold it for 3 second's, then let it out through your mouth. I would try taking a hot bath. Maybe turn some relaxing music on, that isn't too upbeat? You could try to read a book, or watch a cartoon or comedy. Those usually calm me down a bit.

A very quick trick is to fill a basin with the warmest water you can tolerate and out in both hands and hold them there. It sidetracks the adrenaline rush. You are causing the palps to continue bu focusing on them. Once panic is teiggered you have no choice but to ride it out its the physical aspect of a rush. When it calms and it will, it always will and does. Go search healing meditatiins and start learning and using meditations. It works. You have to teach yourself to manually calm down. Cbt is helpful but if you dont meditate and learn mindfullness and proper breathing you will continually hyperventilate and retrigger panic attacks. Every adrenaline rush can effect seventy percent of your body so symptoms can be all over. The palps are classic. Panic disorder is a disfunctional calming or coping mechanism and it really stinks because you have to manually learn to self calm. Everything i have been researching feels within the next decade they will figure this all out as 18% of the population is dealing with them. Your nutrion plays a very large role inhow you deal with the adrenaline rushes so for yourself eat healthy and stay far away from any caffienne or stimulatants of any kind. Chopped basil half a cuo everyday has some nutrient in it that helps with anxiety as does slices of fresh ginger boiled in water. There are many alternative to meds as well. l theanine at night is very calming. Start with the lowest dose and up the dose slow to where you find your perfect dose. If you take any meds speak with a pharmacist and make sure no interactions. Feel better. Please know it does and will pass.
