Heart Palpitations all day long. I’m so scared

hi there, Im 24f. When i started my Hypothyroid medication 2 years ago, i got some Heart Palpitations along side it. Not very frequent, just once and a while close to my period or when i lay on my back. Last week it kept happening, and on last sunday night, it didnt stop. I went to the hospital, and was told its fine. Im fine, its normal. But all week i kept having them on and off. Friday night finally the first night since that I didnt get them right away, and Saturday morning i felt finally okay... so i celebrated with a Joint (legal where i am from) and I was okay until later that night. I couldnt sleep cause my heart would jolt me awake. I was finally able to fall asleep, and i was relieved (around like 9am) but by (sunday ) afternoon, It started back up again. My body is so tired from it, and im so worried about it. Sometimes it feels like its bubbling in my chest, but i cant tell anymore whats my heart, my nerves, my stomach. Im just so worried. Did I mess myself up with the smoking? How do I calm it down? I just want to sleep

    Oh my.

Why would you have a joint after going through that???

I had them over the last week and I'm terrified to even have a cup of coffee.

Joints are synonymous with heart palpitations.

It's a bit like almost getting hit by a train and the following day, setting a tent up and camping on the lines 😃

Allow your body to rest and try not to worry. I know its easier said than done but try breathing techniques and just tell yourself they are no different to a nuisance twitch of the eye. Totally harmless. Just irritating and feel worse.

The anxiety will keep them going and joints will affect your mental health and kick off the palps.

Try laughing at them. Put some comedy on when they happen and laugh. They will go ten times faster.
