I have such bad health anxiety .. it’s actuqlly driving me crazy I’m in the doctors constantly which makes me feel like they are never going to take me serious..

Now I’m concerned there’s something wrong with my heart I’ve been concerned for a long time it start d when I was young I had a ridiculously high heart rate when I was ill once I ended up in hospital but NO ONE knew the answer so never got to the bottom of it..

I’ve suffer d all my life with palpitations so that scares me.. when I was pregnant last year I had a 24 hour ecg and they couldn’t find nothing .. now my heart beats so slow I feel like it’s gobig to stop my resting heart rate can be in the 40s and I’m NO athlete ..

I had another ecg 3 weeks ago I’ve had 100s in my lifetime but they said it was fine ... but I KNOW there’s a feeling in my chest my heart feels weird when it beats ... I get chest pressure which they say is reflux... I sometimes wake up at night like gasping for breath .. I’m convinced they have missed something and It just makes me sooooo anxious

Hi Natalie, hey I have no fixes for you, just sharing your frustration that when we go to the doctor with obvious heart rhythm issues, they just smile and shrug and offer no real help.  "It won't kill you anytime soon," they say.  Great.  Even if it's true, it's not helpful.  Grrrrrrr.  And it sure doesn't feel like it's true, does it.  But maybe it is.

Hi Natalie, I’m sorry you are having these problems. Even doctors should realise that anxiety only makes symptoms worse, and they could do more to investigate what’s happening.

Have you been issued with a holter monitor or recording device, and have they given you an echocardiogram? Are you on any medication?

Don’t give up, see a specialist if possible and perhaps they can get to the bottom of it. For me it took a lengthy hospital admission, several drugs and some lifestyle changes before I had some measure of control over my AFib.

    Best of luck,

    Yvonne

Yes I have had several ecgs through out my life I had one 3 weeks ago which the doctor said was fine.. I had a 24 holter about a year and a half ago while I was pregnant which the doctors said showed PVCS I think it’s called but he said this is normal and everyone gets them... strange no one I know had ever said THEY get them so can’t be everyone lol
