Heartburn on Mirtazipine

Hi troops, I have been on mirtazipine for a while now (couple years approx) but have been getting severe heartburn. The doc is adamant they are not linked but there is someone else on her that posted 5yrs ago with the same problem. I take them with/after food with a full glass of water but there is no difference. My doctor does not seem to want to change my meds either to try and help and just gave me omeprazole instead. I do not want more meds if there's a chance it can be prevented. Anyone had similar?

    i have this issue if i take unisom with the mirtazapine. i take a pepcid ac witb it
