Heat on Hydrocele?

Posted , 1 user is following.

Years ago, I would get Tinea Cruris better known as "jock itch'? Having always been a big (fat) guy and things being close down there, I would get this in summer months. At that time, my doctor advised me to sit in as hot water I could tolerate, the dry an use anti fungal powder.

Given my age (78) and lack of flexibility I don't sit in the hot water. Rather I direct it to the underside of my crotch with a hand-held shower. I refer to it as "burning my boys". With the hydrocele, the closeness and Jock itch are more prevalent. My question is, does the heat (I get it very hot) have an adverse affect on my hydrocele?
