Heavy 2 wk bleed after 5 yrs of elleste duet cont- anyone else

My first post - I reduced my HRT to alternate days early December as my adult acne returned with avengance - if it worked ie alt days equalled reduction of acne, I intended to go back to GP for lower dose. But this last month I had breast tenderness for the first time in many years and almost 3 wk bleed. Scary - went back to GP and awaiting ultra sound scan - but I just wondered if any other ladies had experience of this? I do hope it was a direct result of me cutting dose by half and nothing more sinister. Thanks x

    Hi Jacqui1964,

    I have been taking;

    Prometrium 100 MG and Estrace 1mg estradial

    I came on a heavy period after 3 months taking it. My GP said to start in a week again my HRT and if I have a period again I will have ro do some tests...it is quite scary. My body felt good having a period as I have experienced a lot of pain in my body and now that I had a period I feel like my body is working. My breastfeeding tenderness is horrible with HRT and I gained weight...you cannot win. Please share what happened after the ultrasound. II am on the fence with all of this but I never slept and had so much anxiety and with the HRT I sleep and he anxiety has gone.

    Hi Jacqui,

    Have had heavy bleeds (around 3 - 5 months in) on both types of HRT I have tried (Kliogest and Livial) - have stopped the Livial atm as awaiting to see my Dr to count out any other possible causes for the bleed. Hope I can resume taking it once again - it is the best thing ever - removes ALL meno symptoms and makes me 'normal' againsmile Good luck
